Director of Psychology
Dr. Amy Smith a licensed clinical psychologist with specialties in severe and persistent mental illness, personality disorders, and addiction. She completed her graduate training in San Francisco, where her doctoral dissertation focused on childhood antecedents of antisocial behavior in adulthood.
She spent the first decade of her career working in correctional settings as both a clinician and supervisor, ultimately serving as Chief Psychologist at California State Prison, Sacramento. After relocating to Florida, Dr. Smith directed an emergent mental health facility before joining Huntingdon in 2023.
In her current role, she has continued to grow clinically, expanding her expertise in dementia-related disorders, end-of-life care, and the complexities of public mental health systems. She remains licensed in both California and Florida.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her husband, raising their beautiful daughter, and paddle boating.
